Exposing Islam/Muslims (Part 4)
By: Brian A. Yeager
We’ve covered material so far exposing the Quran, Allah, and Muhammad. Now we are going to look at some particular doctrines within the false religion of Islam. For one thing, we’ve already seen that Islam denies the Deity of Jesus Christ (cf. Quran 4:171). Of course, we understand that the Bible clearly declares that Jesus is God (Matthew 1:23, John 8:58, John 20:26-29, Acts 20:28, Romans 9:1-5, Hebrews 1:1-9, etc.). However, their attack on our Savior reaches beyond this. They also claim that Jesus was not crucified. In fact, they claim that Jesus’ death was make-believe. For those who proclaim that Islam is a “brother” to Christianity, they fail to understand what denial of the death and resurrection of Christ means for our salvation.
The Crucifixion Of Christ Was Fake According To Quran
“That they rejected Faith: that they uttered against Mary a grave false charge. That they said (in boast), ‘We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah’;― but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not.― Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise” (Quran 4:156-158).
The Denial Of The Crucifixion Of Christ Calls Jesus A Liar!
Jesus foretold of His death, burial, and resurrection: “From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day… And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry… Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again… Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee... The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee. And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected” (Matthew 16:21, Matthew 17:22-23, Matthew 20:18-19, Matthew 26:31-32, and Luke 13:31-32).
After Jesus was resurrected He told of His death, burial, and resurrection: “And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things” (Luke 24:44-48).
Seeing that Jesus foretold of His death, burial, and resurrection as well as confirmed it afterward; when one says He was not crucified they are calling Him a liar! Jesus not only told the truth, He is the truth (John 14:6). The reason Muslims cannot believe in the death of our Savior is that they are not seeking the truth (John 18:37). Moreover, they not only deny the truth in Christ, but that which other Scriptures teach as well!
Their Claim About The Death Of Christ Is A Charge Against Other Scriptures!
The Apostles of our Lord all confirmed the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ (Acts 10:38-40). The prophets spoke of the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Christ (Acts 2:25-36). The Scriptures plainly declare that Christ died by being crucified (Matthew 26:2, Matthew 27:26, Matthew 27:35, Mark 15:13-15, Acts 4:10, and I Corinthians 1:23). Dear reader, the word of God is truth (John 17:17). Muslims deny the Scriptures above and many others we could present as well. In fact, they even call the angels of God liars!
Muslim Views Charge The Angels Of Heaven As Liars
Notice this Scriptural account: “In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word” (Matthew 28:1-8). If one denies this account they are calling the angels liars. We know that no lie is of the truth (I John 2:21). The Scriptures are the truth (Colossians 1:5). Therefore, it is the Muslim faith that is full of error, not the witness of the angels of God.
Why The Denial Of The Death Of Christ Is A Huge Deal
Any denial of the truth is significant. However, you and I who are Christians are doomed to Hell if Christ was not crucified and raised on the third day (I Corinthians 15:1-23). Jesus’ blood was shed for the remission of our sins (Matthew 26:28). That is a big deal. Without His blood being shed, our sins cannot be forgiven (Hebrews 10:1-22 and Revelation 1:5).
More could surely be said. Yet, we will have to end this article here. Next week’s article will examine the importance of Mecca to Muslims. We’ll then expose that error as well.
