Exposing Islam/Muslims (Part 2)
By: Brian A. Yeager

While there are many websites that talk about Islam, we are going to use the “Bible” of Muslims in this article. Thus, when I quote from the Quran, you can remember from our first article that they believe the Quran is the word of God. I would imagine most people reading this article do not have a Quran at hand. So, to verify the accuracy of the quotes I will be giving, you can check out the Quran on the Internet (http://www.quranexplorer.com). In this article we are going to examine what Muslims believe about the identity of God. Then, we shall use the real Scriptures to prove their views to be wrong. As you read through this article, understand that the term Allah simply means “god” to Muslims in the same manner in which we understand terms such as Jehovah (Exodus 6:3) refers to God the Father.

The Muslim Belief In Allah

Muslims believe that God is not Jehovah, but their “Allah”: “Allah!― there is no god but He!― Lord of the Throne Supreme” (Quran 27:26)! “Say: Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the Allah, the One, Supreme and Irresistible― The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between Exalted in Might, Able to enforce His will, forgiving again and again" (Quran 38:65-66).

Muslims believe this in regards to the deity of Christ and the Holy Spirit: “They do blaspheme who say: ‘Allah is Christ the son of Mary.’ But said Christ: ‘O children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord, and your Lord.’ Whoever joins other gods with Allah―Allah will forbid him the Garden and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help. They disbelieve who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One God. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them” (Quran 5:72-73).

Answering The False Doctrine That Allah Alone Is God

We have already proven, in our first article, that the Bible is the word of God while the Quran is false. Thus, using the Scriptures as our standard for understanding truth (Job 32:9, John 17:17, and Ephesians 3:4), we will see that the Muslim God “Allah” is false. Before we see the clarity of who God is in the Scriptures, one thing needs to be made clear. Based on the verse you are about to read, we can declare that the Islamic service to Allah is foolishness since their errors oppose the true God:
“There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD” (Proverbs 21:30). How foolish is the religion known as Islam? They are so foolish that they are following a god [Allah] that was not taught about until Muhammad began teaching his errors in the seventh century (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qur'an; http://www.lucidcafe.com/library/95dec/muhammad.html). The world existed for thousands of years without ever hearing about Muslims, Islam, Muhammad, etc. God has always been taught because He has proven Himself to be the only God (II Samuel 22:31, I Kings 18:17-40, Psalms 78:12-72, etc.).

Now, please notice how clearly we see that the one God is not the god Muhammad revealed in the Quran:
“Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else…. For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else… Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure… But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens. He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion… But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him… One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all… For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (Deuteronomy 4:39, Isaiah 45:18, Isaiah 46:9-10, Jeremiah 10:10-12, I Corinthians 8:6, Ephesians 4:6, and I Timothy 2:5).

The Bible Does Prove That Jesus Is God

We’ve seen there is one God. We’ve seen our Father as the true God. Unlike Muslims would have others believe, there is one God in three persons (Matthew 28:19, John 17:20-23, and I John 5:7). As we’ve just realized above, there is one Father. Now, we must realize that Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son (John 1:14, John 1:18, and John 3:16-18), is also deity. Certainly, Christ was born of a woman (Galatians 4:4), but that did not change the fact that He is, was, and always will be deity (Matthew 1:23, John 1:1-5, and John 20:28-31). Notice these Scriptures, in addition to the ones you just looked up:
“And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins… Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen… But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows” (John 8:23-24, Romans 9:5, and Hebrews 1:8-9).

The Bible Does Prove That The Holy Spirit Is God

We have seen that the Father and the Son are both deity, now let’s do the same with the Holy Spirit. First, let’s be sure to realize that the Holy Spirit is a person, not a thing (John 14:16-17, John 14:26, John 15:26, and John16:13). Secondly, the word of God calls the Holy Spirit “God”:
“But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God (Acts 5:3-4).

Conclusion

We have exposed the Quran and the false doctrine concerning the God of Islam. Next, we shall expose Muhammad. He is the founding false prophet of Islam and author of the Quran. From there, we’ll see what we find in the Quran to discuss further.
