It is the sixth day of February as I sit to write this article.  On this day I received an email question from a man that read
exactly as follows:
“I appreciate some of the things on your website but I read something on racism that tells me you do not know
very much of Gods word.  You have a sermon on your internet site that says all men of all nations are acceptable
to be saved.  Jesus is white.  God is white with no darkness in him at all, 1 Jn. 1:5. Darkness always is in relations
to sinfulness.  You can read that in your bible in Rom. 13:12 “The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us
therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.”  Dark people are dirty Rev. 19:8.
Only white people will be in heaven.  The bible says so in Rev. 3:5 “He that overcometh, the same shall be
clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before
my Father, and before his angels.”

God wants white people to shine above dark skinned people 2 Cor. 4:6.  White people are to have nothing to do
with dark people 2 Cor. 6:14.  Washingtons politics allows for Spics, Asians, Negroes, Jews, and other people
of darkness to come into our country.  Why do you let them come into our churches?  God calls us away from
dark people and their evil doings unto the light people and the wonderful works God wanted with Adam 1 Pet. 2:
    9.  I see that you are a white man.  Why are you preaching the gospel of light in an area of the country where
Spics dominate the culture?  Do you have Spics in the church there?  Would you stand with the brotherhood of
the children of light against the dark skinned people of the world?  It is going to be the white man who Jesus rides
into this world at his return Rev. 6:2.  Will you join the fight against darkness now or be crushed with them?”

I chose not to respond to the man who called himself Alexander.  Every verse this man used was grossly abused and
horribly twisted.  Someone who can use his hatred to twist the Scriptures is not worthy of a discussion (Matthew 7:6).
However, I think it is important to address racism from time to time and the above email is a good springboard to do so.

If we were under the Old Testament Law of Moses; white people, black people, Asian’s, Hispanics, etc. would not be
God’s chosen people.  It was Israel [the Jews / Hebrews] whom God called His own (Deuteronomy 1:1; 5:1, 7:6-7 and John
4:19-22).  Jesus was of the bloodline of Abraham (Matthew 1:1) who was a Hebrew (Genesis 14:13 and II Corinthians 11:
22).  Thanks be to God for the Jews, for without them Christ would have never came to this world (Genesis 22:18 and
Hebrews 7:14).

The only reason the Jews were held separate and special was to bring Christ into this world (Galatians 3:14-26).  While
the Law of Moses showed God favored one people, we are no longer under the Law of Moses (Romans 7:1-6, Colossians 2:
14, and Hebrews 9:15-17).  Under the Law of Christ and according to the promise made originally to Abraham, all men and
women have an equal opportunity to be among God’s chosen people.

There are no races in Christ.  The Scriptures plainly declare this unto us:
“For as many of you as have been baptized
into Christ have put on Christ.  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male
nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.  And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to
the promise”
(Galatians 3:27-29).  Furthermore, to be completely clear, the Scriptures also show us that salvation is not only
to the Jews:
“And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore
prepared unto glory, Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?  As he saith also in
Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.  And it shall
come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the
children of the living God”
(Romans 9:23-26).   God cares for every soul on the face of this earth.

We must understand that everyone, regardless of ethnic background, are the descendants of Adam and Eve.  Paul
adequately proved this in Athens when he said the following:
“God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that
he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as
though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
And hath made of one blood all
nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth
, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the
bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he
be not far from every one of us”
(Acts 17:24-27).

Folks, God cares about every human’s soul.  He wants ALL MEN to be saved (I Timothy 2:4).  The Old Law was a
middle wall of division between the Jew and Gentile [everyone who was not a Jew].  God took that Law away when it was
fulfilled in Christ to bring the Jew and all others together as one People (Ephesians 2:11-17).  People have attempted to divide
over many things.  Racism is just as big of a threat as is any other tool of division.  God’s desire is for all to be one body
regardless of race (Colossians 3
:14-15).  The Gospel is to be preached to all (Romans 1:16 and Mark 16:15-16).  Heaven will
not be a place where ethnicity is an issue.  We shall all be changed and be made alike regardless of what skin color we have
here on this earth (I Corinthians 15:50-54 and I John 3:2).  For those who don’t like that, Hell is open unto you for your
reservation!

We still have churches today that are made up of predominate races.  This is a shame.  There are no Hispanic churches of
Christ, white, black, etc. in the Bible.  Brethren, let us be of the mind of God that sees the soul of a person, not the color of
their skin.  God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34 and Romans 2:11) and neither are we to be such (James 2:1).
Christians are God’s chosen race.  Are you one?

What must one do to be saved (Acts 2:37)?  Hear and believe the Gospel (Mark 16:15-16 & Romans 10:17), repent of their
sins (Acts 3:19), confess Christ (Acts 8:37), and be baptized (immersed) for the remission of your sins (Acts 2:38 and
Romans 6:1-6).  Upon your obedience to these requirements of the Lord He will add you to the church of Christ (Acts 2:41; 47
and I Corinthians 12:12-13; cf. Romans 16:16).  One must then remain faithful (Colossians 1:23 and Revelation 2:10).  There is
more to cover than is here.  Contact me today for a study:
