    The beloved Apostle Paul wrote: (Romans 8:24-25) “For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?  But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.” Faith is defined by the Hebrew writer like this: (Hebrews 11:1) “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  We find that we walk by faith and not be sight (II Corinthians 5:7).  Hope in God is impossible to have if one does not have faith in God.  Faith is the foundation of which hope and all else is built upon.  Our goal in this part of the series is to establish undeniable evidence that God exists and is all that the Bible teaches He is.

    Even in the court system of the United States the testimony of credible eye witnesses is accepted as proof.  The Bible has forty different individuals writing as penmen who have testified of the existence and work of the living God.  Those witness accounts began with Moses (Genesis – Deuteronomy) and ended with John (Revelation).  Those forty witnesses give a written account that has not one contradiction.  That establishes credibility.  This is possible because all of them were moved to write by the Holy Spirit (II Peter 1:20-21).  This is our first bit of evidence that God was, is, and always will be who He claims in His word.

 From young ages young men and women are taught to believe in the tested knowledge we can obtain from Scientists.  There are five fundamentals to science.  They are: Time, force, action, space, and matter.  Notice something as we begin this section of our study: (Genesis 1:1) “In the beginning [TIME] God [FORCE] created [ACTION] the heaven [SPACE] and the earth [MATTER].”

 Notice how God knew scientific facts long before science did [scientific foreknowledge]:

OCEANOGRAPHY: Fresh water springs in the ocean were found in 1976 by the US Geological Survey.  (Job 38:16) "Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?" In 1876 the Challenger Expedition found recessed (Channels) in the Ocean (II Samuel 22:16) "And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, At the rebuking of the Lord, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils."  In 1690 Pierre Perrault and Edme Mariotte found water cycles that formed the rain from large bodies of water. THE BIBLE TELLS US THIS IS WHY THE SEA IS NOT FULL WITH ALL OF THE RIVERS THAT FLOW INTO IT.  (Ecclesiastes 1:7) "All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again."  (Ecclesiastes 11:3) "If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be." (Amos 9:6) "It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: the Lord is his name."

In 1935 Prof. H. Dam realized that babies blood clot abilities (VIT. K) is best on the 8th day after birth. (Genesis 17:12) "And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed."

ASTRONOMY: The Earth is round was found by Christopher Columbus 1492.  (Isaiah 40:22) "It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in."

    All of these facts are just some of what could be presented.  Some may discount them as mere coincidence.  That would be possible if there were one or two.  However, the list is long.  It grows even beyond what is listed here.  These witness accounts are accurate, without contradiction, and much more than coincidence.

    For centuries man has tried to deny the existence of God.  For centuries man has continued in attempts to prove the word of God inaccurate.  Their failures serve as proof that it cannot be done.  God exists, the word of God is true, and all things contained therein are flawless.  Imagine what Pharaoh would tell you if he could today (Exodus 5:2; 15:1-5).

    (Psalms 53:1) “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.”  Surely, you as a reader will not be a fool.  God has provided all things for you to live on this earth and He has provided all things for you to live in that place which is still to come.

    The word of God is our guide (Psalms 119:105).  It provides what God requires of you.  The word of God illustrates what one must do to be a Christian.  In fact, the book of Acts records nine accounts of how one can become a Christian.  If you look at all nine accounts you will find people who heard the word of God, believed it, repented of their sins, confessed Christ, and were baptized for the remission of their sins into the church of Christ (Acts 2:37-41, Acts 8:4-13, Acts 8:26-39, Acts 9:1-20, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:13-15, Acts 16:25-34, Acts 18:8, and Acts 19:1-7).

 The Papp’s will be moving next month and the Lockwood’s will be moving the first of next year.  These fine Christians will be greatly missed, but they know they will always have a family in Butler to visit
