This study may be used for edification and teaching, but is not to be sold or used by lazy preachers who visit this site on Wednesdays and
Saturdays as a means to aid them in not doing their own studying.
Jesus Is All The World To Me

1. This song is Scriptural for these reasons:  See below!

2. This song is not Scriptural for these reasons:
    •        We do not “go to Jesus for blessings” such as “sunshine and rain”, we go to the Father for such
things who is actually the giver of those things (Matthew 5:45, Acts 14:15-17, Hebrews 6:7, Ephesians 5:
    20, I Timothy 2:5, and Colossians 3:17).
    •        These gifts come from the Father (Matthew 7:7-11 and James 1:17).
    •        What does the song imply by adding, “He [Jesus] watches o’er me day and night”?  It is we who
have the responsibility of watching over ourselves (Matthew 26:41, I Corinthians 16:13, and I
    Thessalonians 5:6-8).
