This study may be used for edification and teaching, but is not to be sold or used by lazy preachers who visit this site on Wednesdays and
Saturdays as a means to aid them in not doing their own studying.

1. This song is Scriptural for these reasons:  See below!

2. This song is not Scriptural for these reasons:
    •        This song not being Scriptural is rather sad.  The fact that we are redeemed (I Peter 1:18-19,
Colossians 1:13-14, and Galatians 3:13) and restored [reconciled] (Ephesians 2:8-17 and Colossians 1:18-
    22) in Christ are two great points to start any song off with.
    •        Unfortunatly, Christ did not give His body in our stead [place].  Our place was NEVER upon the
cross.  Contrary to the views of Calvinism, Christ is not our substition like the ram was for Isaac (Genesis
22:10-13).  Jesus is the SACRAFICE (Ephesians 5:2 and Hebrews 10:10-12), not substitution.
o        Perversion of the following passages do not make Christ the substition: Isaiah 53:5; 12, I Peter
    3:18, Galatians 1:4, I Peter 2:24, I John 3:16, etc…
o        No single human being could have ever did what Jesus did (Hebrews 9:8-14; 23-28), therefore
He did not die in anyone’s place!  It was HIS work to do (Matthew 20:28).
