    •        Caution against false peace: Jeremiah 6:13-15 and Ezekiel

    Verse 10: Persecution for righteousness: Psalms 11:2, Psalms 37:32,

    Verses 11: Reviled = taunted (Matthew 27:39, I Peter 2:21-23; cf. John
    10:19-20, Philippians 1:29-30, Luke 6:22-23, Acts 24:1-6, and Acts 6:8-
    14).
    •        False charges: Genesis 39:7-20, Psalms 35:11, Proverbs 25:
    18, Acts 24:5-6; 13, and Romans 3:8; cf. Matthew 15:18-20.
    •        When we suffer for righteousness, we’re in good company (II
    Thessalonians 1:4-6, II Corinthians 11:13-30, and II Timothy 2:8-12).
