Racism

Introduction:
A. Racism and religion are horrifically combined today:

B. There is but one Gospel, one plan, one church:
1. Ephesians 4:4-6
2. Matthew 28:19 and Mark 16:15-16
3. Why is there Hispanic, Black, White, etc. churches???
I. Creation and the Subsequent Procreation Declares Unity of Race
A. Genesis 1:27
1. Genesis 5:1-2
2. Marriage between male and female (not white males and white females, etc.) Matthew 19:4-5
B. God then desired procreation before any division of races occurred:
1. Adam and Eve: Genesis 1:28
2. After the flood God told Noah and his sons: Genesis 9:1
C. The point – whether Hispanic, Black, White, Asian, Indian, Arabic, etc. we all came from the same place with the same Father: Ephesians 4:6
1. I Corinthians 8:6
2. In a context dealing with the tongue note what is said: James 3:9
II. Division of Babel and Jews from Gentiles – Why?
A. Why do we come from different places and speak different languages?
1. Babel is why: Genesis 11:1-9
2. Separation at Babel had nothing to do with race and everything to do with the pride of the people: Luke 1:50-51
B. Was God a racist by separating the Jews from the Gentiles?  Ezra 10:10-11
1. God made a promise to Abraham: Genesis 22:18
2. To keep that promise He instituted the Law of Moses as a wall of separation: Ephesians 2:11-17
3. If God did not separate there would not have been faith to bring Christ:  Ezra 9:1-2
4. To call this racism is to deny that all the earth would be blessed by God keep His promise to Abraham: Galatians 3:7-19
C. Notice a few times that show race was never the issue with God:
1. Numbers 12:1-9
2. Ruth the Moabite: Matthew 1:5
III. Spiritual Unity of All in Christ Jesus
A. All men of all nations are acceptable to be saved: Acts 10:34-35\
1. Romans 1:14-16
2. Galatians 3:26-29
3. Colossians 3:9-11
B. In heaven there will be no White, Black, Hispanic, etc. sections: I Corinthians 15:52-53
Conclusion:
A. There should never be division among God’s people of any kind: I Corinthians 1:10
B. We should not be so carnal as to allow race to form factions: I Corinthians 3:3
