1. If a prophet or dreamer instructed the children of Israel to follow other gods, were they supposed to listen to them? 2. What was to be done with those false prophets? 3. What was to be done with a family member that would try to lead one astray? 4. What was to be done if a group of people were lead away into another city to practice idolatry? 5. Were the children of Israel expected to tithe from all of the increase brought through their fields year by year? 6. Who would benefit from the tithes brought within the gates every three years? 7. What two exceptions were there concerning the forgiveness of debts every seven years? 8. When a Hebrew slave was released, were they supposed to be released without any possessions? 9. Was a slave permitted to continue to be a slave after seven years? 10. What were all the males expected to do three times per year? 11. Were the children of God expected to be fair in judgment? 12. What was to be done if the children of Israel found any man or woman within their gates that had wrought wickedness in the sight of the Lord, in transgressing his covenant? 13. How many witnesses against a sinner were required to practice capital punishment? 14. What was to be done if the children of Israel could not come to a judgment in a matter of controversy? 15. What was to happen to the one who would not hearken unto the authority of the priest or judge? 16. When the children of Israel would appoint a king because of their own desires (influenced by the nations around them), would that king create his own laws? 17. How does the Lord feel about witches, charmers, those who consult with familiar spirits, wizards, or necromancers [one who calls up the dead]? 18. Did God want Israel to be perfect? 19. Who is Moses talking about in Deuteronomy 18:15; 18-19 (you’ll have to think outside of the context to answer this question)? 20. Were prophets allowed to speak whatever they wanted to the people? 21. Did the Lord want innocent blood shed in the land? 22. Was a city of refuge a safe haven for a criminal to hide? 23. If a person wanted to increase his land, could he just move his neighbor’s landmark? 24. Were false witnesses expected to be judged under the Law of Moses? |
