1. Was the trespass offering holy?
    •        It was most holy (Leviticus 7:1).

2. Where was the trespass offering to be eaten?
    •        It was to be eaten by every male priest in the holy place: it is most holy (Leviticus 7:6-10).

3. The peace offering for thanksgiving was to be eaten on what day?
    •        The same day it was offered, leaving none till morning (Leviticus 7:15).

4. What was to be done with the remainder of the flesh of the peace offering of a vow or voluntary offering on the
third day?
    •        It was to be burned with fire (Leviticus 7:17).

5. In studying the peace offering, have you found that these instructions were simple or complex?
    •        They are complex which makes the law of Christ that much the greater (II Corinthians 11:3).

6. Who washed Aaron and his sons with water?
    •        Moses did according to the instructions of God before the congregation of Israel (Leviticus 8:1-6; cf.
    Exodus 28-30).

7. What did Moses do with the anointing oil?
    •        “And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was therein, and sanctified
them.  And he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all his vessels, both
the laver and his foot, to sanctify them.  And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed
him, to sanctify him.  And Moses brought Aaron's sons, and put coats upon them, and girded them with
girdles, and put bonnets upon them; as the Lord commanded Moses” (Leviticus 8:10-13).

8. What was done with the inward parts (kidneys, etc.) of the sin offering of the bullock?
    •        They were burned upon the altar (Leviticus 8:16).

9. What was done with the blood of the ram of consecration?
    •        “And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon
the head of the ram.  And he slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron's right
ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.  And he brought Aaron's
sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and
upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about” (Leviticus 8:
    22-24).

10. How long were Aaron and his sons to remain in the tabernacle during the days of consecration?
    •        Seven days (Leviticus 8:33).

11. Did Aaron and his sons follow the instructions of God at this point in time?
    •        Yes, (Leviticus 8:36).

12. What was promised to the children of Israel if they brought the sin offering, burnt offering, and peace offering
correctly?  Did Moses’ promise come true?
    •        They were promised that the glory of the Lord would appear unto them (Leviticus 9:6).
    •        Yes, it sure did and they were not disappointed (Leviticus 9:24).

13. Why were Nadab and Abihu devoured in fire?
    •        They burned strange [unauthorized] fire before the Lord (Leviticus 10:1-2).

14. What would happen if Aaron or his sons drank wine or strong drink when going to the tabernacle?
    •        They’d die (Leviticus 10:9).

15. Explain Leviticus 10:12-20.
    •        The sin offering was offered, but not eaten and the blood was not sprinkled upon the altar.  Evidently, it
was the mourning of Aaron that caused he and his sons to err in not fulfilling all that God had said.  Aaron’s
excuse appeased Moses.  Remember, Aaron held his peace at the judgment on his two sons (Leviticus 10:3).
Aaron was instructed not to act as a normal scene of mourning would play out lest he die (Leviticus 10:6-8).

16. Were there certain animals of the earth the children of Israel were not to eat?
    •        Yes, (Leviticus 11:1-8).
    •        Today not such instruction is in place on what animals, fish, etc. we can eat (I Timothy 4:1-4).

17. Were there certain creatures of the water that the children of Israel were not to eat?
    •        Yes, (Leviticus 11:9-12).

18. Were the children of Israel permitted to eat any of the following:
    •        Owls – No, (Leviticus 11:13-16).
    •        Locusts – Yes, (Leviticus 11:22).
    •        Grasshoppers – Yes, (Leviticus 11:22).
    •        Lizards – No, (Leviticus 11:29-30).
    •        Snails – No, (Leviticus 11:30).

19. What was a person to do if they had eaten a carcass of a dead, clean beast?
    •        “And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until
the even.  And he that eateth of the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he
also that beareth the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even” (Leviticus 11:39-40).

20. If a woman had a male child, how long was she considered unclean?
    •        Seven days (Leviticus 12:1-2).

21. On what day was a male child to be circumcised?
    •        Consistent with God’s earlier law, it was to be done on the eighth day (Leviticus 12:3; cf. Genesis 17:10-
    12).

22. Was there a difference between the period of being unclean and the days of purifying if the child was a female
rather than a male?
    •        Yes, (Leviticus 12:2; 4; 5).

23. What was the woman to do after the days of her purifying?
    •        “And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of
the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest: Who shall offer it before the Lord, and make an atonement for
her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a
female.  And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one
for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and
she shall be clean” (Leviticus 12:6-8).

24. Explain how Luke 2:21-24 relates to the context we are studying in chapter twelve of The Book of Leviticus:
    •        Mary follows the instructions of the Law of Moses as recorded in Leviticus 12:1-8 when Jesus was born!
