Here Am I; Send Me (Isaiah 6:8)

I. Introduction:

A. The word would harden the hearers leaving a small remnant: Isaiah 6:9-13

1. There was the same effect when Jesus preached: Matthew 13:13-15 and John 12:35-41
2. Same effect when Paul preached: Acts 28:23-28
3. Same effect we can expect today: Luke 13:23-24
B. We must go whether they will hear or not: Ezekiel 2:3-8
1.We have to realize how necessary it is for us to go and teach: Acts 11:13-14, Romans 10:14-15, I Corinthians 1:18; 21, and James 1:21
2. The word is in our hands: I Corinthians 3:6 and II Corinthians 4:3-7
3. The laborers are few, so let’s realize the need for us: Matthew 9:37-38
II. Body:

A. There are many ways we can go and ways to teach, so long as the target is all: Matthew 28:18-20

1. By twos to a target area / people: Luke 10:1-2
2. House to house: Acts 5:42, Acts 16:32-34 and Acts 20:20
3. Public forums: Acts 13:14-16 and Acts 20:7
4. In writing: Hebrews 13:20-22
5. By our godly influence: Philippians 2:15-16 and I Peter 3:1-2
6. When invited for a meal and given opportunity to teach: Luke 5:27-32
7. Ultimately, at all times and places wherein souls can be saved: Acts 8:4
B. We must be zealous, with our desire being the same as the Lord’s: I Timothy 2:5 and II Peter 3:9
1. The sacrifice of our Lord was to save man: Colossians 1:12-23
2. We should share the blessing we know: I Timothy 1:15-16
3. We have that true message (not like the perversions among denominations – Jeremiah 9:1-5): II Corinthians 4:1-2 and I Timothy 3:15
4. Our zeal must also be in reaching to brethren who are falling: II Timothy 2:24-26
C. If we grow in knowledge we will not be able to keep silent: Acts 4:18-20; cf. Jeremiah 20:9
1. We have to interest in God’s word: Nehemiah 8:1-3
2. We are taught before we teach: II Timothy 2:2
3. Know that, some will think ye are crazy: Acts 26:24-25
III. Conclusion:
A. As in the days of John the Baptist, there’ll be those who reject: Luke 7:24-30
B. Those whom reject our teaching of truth, reject the Lord: Luke 10:16
